The two government agencies that are most involved in immigration are the
Immigration and Naturalization
Service (INS), which is part of the U.S.
Department of Justice, and the U.S.
Department of State.
For information about the Baltimore
INS Field Office, visit its website. INS also has a National Customer Service
Center you can reach by a toll free number 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week.
The most comprehensive web site for information
on immigration law is INS website.
All INS forms are available online, and can be
downloaded from any computer that is connected to the World Wide Web. See Forms,
Fees, and Fingerprints. You can download the forms in a format that allows
you to then fill out the forms on your computer. You will need the free Adobe
Acrobat Reader 5.0, which you can download from the INS Forms
and Fees page. You also can download the plain forms to fill out by hand.
An excellent law firm firm website that contains
both IS form and extensive information is http://www.vislaw.com.
